Advocacy
- Commissioned a Smart Growth Survey in the City of Richmond to highlight resident concerns surrounding housing affordability
- Represented REALTORS® on the City of Richmond’s Inclusive Housing Working Group for the Zoning Code Refresh to ensure the new code aligns with the Richmond 300 master plan’s vision for inclusive and affordable housing
- Represented REALTORS® on Chesterfield County’s Zoning Ordinance Modernization Advisory Committee to help rewrite the county’s zoning ordinance and modernize development regulations
- Represented REALTORS® on Henrico County’s Program for Public Information Committee to develop strategies to share flood-related information with county residents
- Hosted a quarterly webinar series focused on advocacy efforts in the region, including the Zoning Atlas, the Learn and Live 2.0 Report, the Henrico Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and the Chesterfield Zoning Ordinance Modernization

- Between January and June of 2025, RAR staff have spent a total of 378 hours on volunteer service
- Through our donor-directed fund at The Community Foundation, RAR has allocated $62,500 to ten local educational nonprofits
