2022 REALTOR Dues Billing FAQs

What is my password?

RAR does not store your password, therefore we can’t provide your password if you’ve forgotten it.  Utilize the FORGOT PASSWORD feature on the log-in page to reset your password.  If you notice that the email on file is not current, please email [email protected] for assistance. 

Can I make partial payments with multiple types of payment?

Online payments cannot be split over multiple payment sources.  You can submit payment in full online with a debit or credit card.  Payments made by check or money order may be sent to the Association Office.  If you are mailing a payment, please make sure it is received by October 31st

Don’t you have my credit card on file?

Check your Member Hub to ensure that you have a stored credit card on file.  If you do, and you still have a balance, you may not have set up your account for Auto-Payments. To do that, click HERE for instructions. 

How can I update my card for auto-debit?

When is my membership renewal due?

REALTOR dues are posted annually to your account for the subsequent year on October 1st and are due by October 31st.

If your REALTOR membership is not renewed for the subsequent year, membership will terminate on December 31st.  Reinstating your membership after this date will include additional application fees in addition to your annual dues. 

(Remember, Annual dues are different than your quarterly CVR MLS fees.)

I don’t read my emails.  Can I get a bill mailed to me?

All invoices are posted to your Member Hub.  An initial invoice is sent via email and reminders throughout the month are sent in numerous communications.  We also recommend you check your Member Hub to see any outstanding balance. 

I'm not sure if I want to renew my membership for 2022. When do I have to decide? 

Talk to your broker about their office policy regarding REALTOR membership. If you license remains active with your broker's member firm, your broker's dues would be increased for those non-REALTOR licensees.

I am the Designated REALTOR of my firm. If agents do not renew their membership and remain licensed with my firm, how am I impacted?

A Designated REALTOR's dues are increased by the number of agents licensed with the member firm who do not hold active REALTOR membership. Your dues would be increased by $530 per non-REALTOR licensee. 

I am the Designated REALTOR of my firm. My agent is terminating their membership. How do we let RAR know the license is being returned to DPOR?

Submit a complete Termination Form, signed by either the agent or the broker. Once received, the membership will be terminated. 

If I pay to renew my membership and later decide to make my license inactive, do I get a refund?

Your request for a refund of prepaid dues must be submitted by December 31, 2021. After December 31, dues may not be refunded.

What is REAP?

The Real Estate Assistance Program (REAP) is funded through voluntary contributions made by RAR members. REAP funds are used to provide financial support to housing related non-profits. Some of the non-profits in the area that have received REAP funds include: Homeward, the Better Housing Coalition and Virginia Supportive Housing.
